03-29-10. Wood shavings from the drill press.
03-28-10. Decorating Easter Eggs with Camille. She was so excited to decorate Easter eggs. We had a hard time getting her to eat lunch and take a nap. Notice the green fingers. Camille actually did a few of the multicolored eggs herself after watching how I did it. We decorated 18 eggs, but Camille would have decorated 100 if she had the chance.
03-27-10. More progress on the deck today. Now you can see what this picture was: http://www.milesboyer.com/Photography/Photo-of-the-Day2/10863291_BGCUM#809812957_KaBpT (in case you still can't figure it out, they are aluminum spindles) I got most of the railing installed today. This involved drilling a 3/4 inch hole 1 inch deep for both the top and bottom of each spindle. 272 holes. This turned out to be a perfect job for the drill press on Popo's Shop Smith. I developed a pretty good assembly line system for doing all the repetitive drilling, but it was still a tedious process. I also pullled nails and organized the scrap heap from the old deck. Now I just need to build the stairs, finish the railing, build the arbor, and stain it.
