01-24-10. Camille and Granny checking out the flooded Niangua River at Granny's house. We had lunch at Granny's house today, followed by a walk down to the river. The river was way out of its banks. This is where we used to drive down to take the canoes out of the water. Normally, you wouldn't even be able to see the river from here. It is normally beyond the trees and the (flooded) gravel bar in the background. I had a hard time deciding which picture to post today. I also took a few pictures of the cool little waterfalls along the edge of the property, but I decided the flood would be more interesting. When Granny and Camille were crossing the little pools of water between the waterfalls, Camille slipped and got into a pool deeper than her boots. Instead of complaining, she said it was "refreshing." Camille also brought back some new dresses that Granny made for Fancy Nancy. They are very fancy. Good times.
01-23-10. Guess what this is. I know that one part of this is fairly recognizable, so I'm looking for specifics (where it is, how it was made, etc.) Gigi came over for dinner tonight, and we watched Julie and Julia afterwards. Great movie. I can relate to Julie's blogging dicipline (obsession) after doing this Photo of the Day project for so long.
01-22-10. Guess what this is. Yes, this was a last minute effort.
