11-06-10. Day one of the guy camp/float. I resurrected my old D70 for this trip, and I only used my 50mm f1.8 lens for the entire trip. This lens limited the amount of telephoto and wide angle shots I was able to take, but it forced me to try to find an interesting composition in whatever I could see through the viewfinder. We enjoyed great weather, scenery, fishing, food, and company on our trip. More pictures to be posted later.
11-05-10. Camille, James, and Grandma looking at toys. Camille is circling the toys in the catalog that she wants. (she circled a lot)
11-04-10. Glenstone Gardens. Probably a pretty cool office park/strip mall back in the 60's. After sitting vacant for years and suffering from graffiti, broken windows, collapsing walls and numerous other ailments, it is nearing the end of its life. The end of the building that would have been at the far right of the picture used to be Foxy's. (a gentlemen's establishment) Part of the walls collapsed 2 or 3 years ago, and they just recently demolished the remaining walls of Foxy's. I'm pretty sure the rest of the buildings will be demolished in the near future. I've been meaning to get a picture of this building before it disappeared, and I finally stopped today. I thought the clouds and deep blue sky contrasted well against the orange fence, spray paint, and plywood.
