09-26-12. Bedtime snack.
This was actually a past-my-bedtime snack. I stayed up late fixing a couple things on my Ranger before selling it. The gear shift indicator was 1 space off, so that when you were in Reverse it showed you were in Neutral. This turned out to be a fairly easy fix, but it required removing part of the dash under the steering wheel.
The power door locks had also become sluggish recently. They wouldn't always pop up or down all the way. This turned out to be more of a project than I thought. Removing the door panels was easy. Reaching my hand through a small hole to the inside of the door, while trying to pry out a part that I couldn't see was very difficult. I could write a lengthy essay on just how difficult it was, but I won't. Fixing the gearshift indicator and both doors took about 3 hours. I waited until the kids were in bed, so I ended up working until after 11:00pm, which is way past my bedtime.
