We had a family gathering at Dad & Karen's house this evening. After stuffing ourselves and visiting for a while, a storm started moving in. With a 360 degree view from on top of a hill, I had a good vantage point to take lightning photos. Unfortunately, it seemed like my camera was always pointed in the wrong direction. I did manage to capture a few bolts here and there.

Miles Boyer > 09-28-07. Achoo. The neighbor dog. I'm guessing on the spelling. Maybe Laura or Warren will chime in with the correct spelling. Camille had a chance to pet and play with Achoo this evening. She was very upset when she had to leave him. She LOVES dogs.

I took this during our golf tournament today. This guy was hanging out around one of the water hazards. I got several good close-ups while he was perched on the bank, but I'm especially proud I got a halfway decent bird in flight photo.

We had wonderful weather for the tournament, and a good time was had by all. I'm worn out though, so I think I'll go to bed now.

I've passed by these brightly colored relics several times recently. I finally took the time to stop and take a picture. The "2nd Time Around" Antique Store always has worthwhile subjects gathered outside.

Camille has been providing plenty of easy photo opportunities lately.
Miles Boyer > 09-24-07. Camille loves playing in the sprinkler. I wish we would have thought of this earlier in the summer when it was so hot. I guess we just didn't have a need to water the weeds in the yard. By the way, we normally don't water the driveway. I pulled the sprinkler out onto the driveway especially for Camille.

Can you see that hint of green in the lawn. I'm amazed at how much the grass grew since yesterday. I think you could actually "watch the grass grow."
Miles Boyer > 09-23-07. Germination.

After planting grass on the 19th, I already have a few seedlings popping up. Some of them are more than an inch tall already. I couldn't believe it when I spotted these sprouts while watering this evening.
