Miles Boyer > Hawksbill Crag (A.K.A. Whitaker Point) Buffalo National River. Panorama made from 6 images stitched together. Not the best photo, but the view was impressive. It was a little too sunny and hazy to capture the scene. This is one of Arkansas most photographed spots. Strangely, there are no signs to get there. You have to drive 6 miles up a twisty, hilly, narrow gravel road through the sticks and past multiple hillbilly shacks to find the trailhead. Our recent viewing of "Deliverance" stayed fresh in our minds on this trip.
Miles Boyer > Elk in Boxley Valley just down the road from our cabin in Ponca, AR. Buffalo National River
Miles Boyer > Hawksbill Crag (A.K.A. Whitaker Point) Buffalo National River. Believe it or not, I actually took this picture. Camera on tripod; timer set on 20 sec; then I ran about 75 ft along the edge of the bluff. The wind was blowing so hard, I was a little afraid my camera & tripod would get blown off the edge of the bluff.
