Miles Boyer > 02-22-08. Serving size- 2 cookies...Yeah Right!
Miles Boyer > 02-21-08. Another day of wintry mix. We even had more thundersleet.
Miles Boyer > 02-20-08. Overloaded.

I've seen this pickup driving around town a few times lately. The truck is literally filled top to bottom with stuff. There is just enough room for the driver to sit behind the wheel. Even the dash is covered with stuff. I'm not calling it junk because it might be the owner's most treasured possessions.

This isn't the best photo, but it is the only one I took today.
Miles Boyer > 02-19-08. Camille Reading Lulu.

I thought I would take a picture of Camille's backside to show off her golden locks.
Miles Boyer > 02-18-08. Sharp.
Miles Boyer > 02-17-08. Camille's Bracelets.
Miles Boyer > 02-16-08. Just a pile of pencil shavings.
Miles Boyer > 02-15-08. Buttons on Camille's sweater, knit by Aunt Nancy.
Miles Boyer > 02-14-08. CAUTION: Watch for Falling Ice!!!

Yes, this is a 4 foot long icicle stuck straight into the ground. I saw quite a few of these on my way to work this morning. In fact, there were about 4 smaller spears just like this between this one and the pole in the background.

Lesson of the day: don't walk under power lines when the ice is melting. I'd say this wouldn't feel too good if it hit you in the head. I checked to see how far this was pushed into the ground. It was stuck pretty good- nearly 2 inches into the ground.
Miles Boyer > 02-13-08. Ice Art.

I thought this ice covered light fixture was a work of art just waiting to be noticed. The blue sky, red wall, and shadow caught my eye.

The ice did start to melt today, but it should really melt tomorrow when temps reach the 50s.
Miles Boyer > 02-12-08. Welcome to the 2nd Annual Springfield Ice Storm.

This ice storm wasn't quite as bad as January 2007. Actually, I'd just say that it was different. The trees didn't get hit quite so hard (maybe because they've all been pruned in the past year), but the roads are definitely worse this time. Last year's ice storm hardly affected the streets at all.

This windmill caught my eye on the drive home from work. As you can see, the wind was blowing and spinning the windmill as the icicles formed.

I had a hard time deciding on a photo, so I posted 2 more here:

Miles Boyer > 02-11-08. Wintry Mix.

We had another round of winter weather today. This morning, we woke up to sleet and freezing rain. We even had a taste of "thunder sleet" or "thunder freezing rain" too. Lighting, thunder, sleet, and freezing rain all at the same time. Now we have about an inch of ice covering everything. I took some icicle pictures too, but for some reason I liked this photo better.
Miles Boyer > 02-10-08. Just another sunset from the back door.
Miles Boyer > 02-09-08. Shopping at Old Navy. Camille always has to run back and see the dog.
Miles Boyer > 02-08-08. Guess what this is.
